Co-Chairs for the 2010 Bluebonnet Social Club
The sounds of summer will fill the air along the banks of the old Brazos River on June 25, 2010 announced Brazosport Health Foundation, the fundraising division of Brazosport Regional Health System. On that day, the Bluebonnet Social Club will host the largest beach party in Brazoria County history.
The biennial Bluebonnet Social Club is an event to raise funds for continuing high-quality healthcare in Brazoria County. In 2008, the inaugural event netted $95,000 for the cancer center expansion at Brazosport Regional.
The Bluebonnet Social Club will be held at Freeport Municipal Park where approximately 1,000 guest will “Dance, Dance, Dance” to the Beach Boys Greatest Hits with the Legends of Surf Music: Al Jardine – Original Founding Member of the Beach Boys, Dean Torrence – of Jan & Dean, David Marks – Original Member of the Beach Boys and Surf City Allstars – former touring musicians with the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean.
In addition to the good vibrations, the beach party will serve mouth-watering delights from Pappas Catering and host both a live and silent auction. “The hospital doesn’t provide care for just one city, it serves the entire county and we hope people from all over get involved with the Bluebonnet Social Club,” remarked Mark and Cheryl Davis, Co-Chairs for the 2010 Bluebonnet Social. “The event gives us the chance to have a fun-filled night all while raising money to continue the development of local healthcare.”
Through fundraisers such as the Bluebonnet Social Club, Brazosport Health Foundation’s primary mission is to support the hospital and its groundbreaking work in Southern Brazoria County. Proceeds from this 2010 fundraiser will directly benefit patient care.
