Welcomes Ears, Nose, Throat Specialist
Brazosport Regional Health System is excited to announce ear, nose, throat specialist, Dr. Stephanie Jo Herrera, as the newest member of their medical team. As an otolaryngologist, Dr. Herrera is dedicated to diagnosing and treating disorders of the ear, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck.
Dr. Herrera earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. She completed her internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and received the Resident of the Year Award. While in training, Dr. Herrera presented original research in frontal sinus trauma at the American Rhinologic Society. In addition, she won the Houston Society of Otolaryngology and Texas Association of Otolaryngology resident research awards.
During her time spent in San Antonio, Dr. Herrera was a SAT and MCAT Preparation Instructor for Kaplan and was a teacher and research assistant for the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. “Patients can expect compassionate and individualized care from our medical office,” expressed Dr. Herrera. “I am excited to be a part of this community and look forward to meeting new patients.”
Dr. Herrera is focused on sinus disorders, voice disorders, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, facial skin cancer surgery and reconstruction, as well as general pediatric and adult ENT. She utilizes the latest technology in sinus by including CT-navigation and high definition imaging in her procedures.
