The Brazosport Health Foundation is pleased to announce that this year’s Keynote Speaker is Crystal Brown-Tatum, President of Clear Communications. Crystal was featured on Oprah as the author of a Breast Cancer memoir – Saltwater Taffy and Red High Heels. She was also named 2009 Texas Blazing Star from the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Texas, was twice voted Miss Congeniality in the Miss Texas USA Pageant, and was the recipient of the 2009 40 under 40 award from the Houston Business Journal.

The funds raised will benefit men and women in our community affected by breast cancer. The Mermaid Project has served over 1,300 individual clients, provided over 6,000 services, and has provided over $1 million in prevention, detection and treatment services for men and women who would not otherwise be able to afford care.
