Power of the Pur$e
 A new fundraising initiative, destined to be one of the most fashionable in town, seeks to empower women when it comes to philanthropy. Women across the community are joining forces to raise money for the overall health and wellness for women in our area. Initiated by Brazosport Health Foundation, Power of the Pur$e will unveil on June 5th, 2012 to raise funds for Brazosport Regional Health System to purchase the 3D imaging software for Selenia® Dimensions digital mammography system.
Mary Meyers and Cheri McBurnett, both long-time supporters of the Foundation, graciously accepted to Co-Chair the 2012 Power of the Pur$e. To kick off the event, the ladies were the first women to receive their annual mammograms with the new digital mammography system at Brazosport Regional. In addition to raising funds, the purpose of Power of the Pur$e is to raise awareness about women’s health in the Brazosport Community. More information regarding the Power of the Pur$e will be disclosed in early 2012.
