Immunohematology & Transfusion Medicine
Our Transfusion Service provides immunohematology testing including ABO and Rh, antibody screening and identification, antigen typing, compatibility testing, cord blood studies, and fetal screens. We supply packed red blood cells (including autologous), platelets, fresh frozen plasma and cryoprecipitate for transfusion in our hospital setting.
- ABO and RH - Type of blood and corresponding Rh factors. Rh factors describe rather or not you have a certain blood protein or not.
