Director at Brazosport Regional Selected to be a Keynote Speaker
Lake Jackson, TX – October 31, 2007 – David White, RN and Director of Critical Care and Telemetry at Brazosport Regional Health System (BRHS) was recently honored and selected to speak at University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) President’s Annual Report on November 6, 2007. His speech will highlight his experience with their new RN to BSN program and his latest career accomplishments.

David was honored by UHV as the first student to enroll in the first class of the RN to BSN program. David was employed at DeTar Hospital when he enrolled in the RN to BSN program at UHV. After he enrolled, David spoke highly about the program to his fellow co-workers and encouraged them to join the program. By the time the semester started, a remarkable 90% of the first class at UHV worked at DeTar Hospital.

David’s determination and passion for nursing helped him fly through the program. After graduation, David was hired as the Director of Critical Care and Telemetry at BRHS in June 2007. He is now responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care, recruiting and retaining required staffing, and demonstrating progressive management and strong clinical knowledge.

“The program helped me take my nursing abilities to a higher level, achieve management status, and further my nursing career,” stated David. “I feel privileged and thrilled to have the opportunity to speak to the community about the nursing program and my career achievements.” Special attendees of the UHV’s President’s Annual Report will be university delegates, community leaders and State Representative Geanie Morrison.

Brazosport Regional is proud to have David White on board. Their Critical Care and Telemetry Unit will greatly benefit from his expansive experience and high-quality education.
