New Gastroenterologist Joins
Brazosport Regional Health System
 Dr. Edmundo Justino is the newest member of Brazosport Regional Health System’s medical specialist. Fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese, Dr. Justino will be joining Dr. Sweatt at Gulf Coast Gastroenterology.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Justino specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Justino earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Because of his interactions with his patients at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Justino received the Patient’s Choice Award for Maryland two years in a row.
Dr. Justino’s comprehensive medical training has afforded him a diversified experience in management of gastrointestinal diseases. He has advanced training in gastrointestinal motility and enjoys many aspects of gastroenterology with a special interest in liver disease.
He believes in partnering with each patient in order to achieve the best outcome possible and continuing to educate each patient in the prevention of certain gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He strives to address each symptom by carefully listening, examining, testing and advising each patient in an effort to resolve their particular problem in a compassionate and respectful manner.
