Serology
We have a variety of serological tests available, including RPR, rubella, serum and urine pregnancy, infectious mononucleosis, and rheumatoid factor.
- Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) - RPR is a screening test for syphilis.
- Rubella - Rubella is an illness with flu-like symptoms. The test is used to confirm the presence of adequate protection against the rubella virus.
- Serum Pregnancy - The test detects HCG in the blood, which is a hormone in your body after the egg has been fertilized by sperm which starts the pregnancy.
- Urine Pregnancy - The urine pregnancy test is the most common pregnancy test and the easiest pregnancy test to take. The pregnancy test can be purchased at a drug store with no prescription. The test detects HCG in the urine, which is a hormone in your body after the egg has been fertilized by sperm which starts the pregnancy.
- Infectious Mononucleosis - Otherwise known as “mono.” The disease is spread through saliva and has flu-like symptoms. A blood test is performed to detect mono.
- Rheumatoid Factor (RF) - The test is performed to help diagnose rheumatoid arthritis and to distinguish it from other forms of arthritis or other joint problems.
