Two ER Physicians at Brazosport Regional Health System
Voted Top Doctor by H Texas Magazine

Drs. Adam Corley and Corey Anderson, two Emergency Services Physicians at Brazosport Regional Health System, were recently voted Top Doctor by H Texas Magazine, a publication that defines the unique Houston experience. H Texas Magazine only listed 5 Top Docs in Emergency Medicine for 2011 and 2 of those 5 doctors work full time at Brazosport Regional.

To be selected as a Top Doctor, H Texas Magazine sends ballots to their readers and other past featured professionals asking them to vote for the doctor they think is one of the best in Houston. After the votes are received, H Texas Magazine reviews the physicians’ years in practice, continuing education, affiliations, and ensures the doctor has a clean disciplinary record. Lastly, they choose the top 2% of the most qualified physicians and the list is published in the H Texas Magazine. Brazosport Regional physicians made up 40% of all the emergency doctors and the Health System was the only facility in the greater Houston area with two Emergency Physicians listed.

In addition to serving as the Medical Director of Emergency Services at Brazosport Regional, Dr. Corley serves as a Regional Medical Director in EmCare’s Southwest Region. He received his medical degree from University of Texas in Houston and completed his residency program at the affiliated hospital at UT Houston. Dr. Corley is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Additionally, since August 2008, he is the Medical Director for Lake Jackson EMS.

Dr. Corey Anderson received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency program at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He was the Emergency Services Medical Director at Brazosport Regional from 2002 to 2005 and is affiliated with the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association.

Brazosport Regional offers comprehensive emergency services to people of all ages 24 hours, 365 days a year and offers the only Trauma Level III Center in Brazoria County. As the largest provider of emergency services in Brazoria County, serving approximately 33,000 patients annually, the turnaround time from the moment a patient walks into the ER is 33% lower than the national average. In addition, they are the only group in the Houston area who uses all board-certified emergency nurse practitioners.

“It is of great honor to have two of our physicians receive this recognition. It represents the excellent care that we provide at our Level III Trauma Center,” remarked Daniel Buche, CEO/President of Brazosport Regional.

Please join Brazosport Regional in congratulating Drs. Corley and Anderson in their recent accomplishments!
