Brazosport Regional Volunteers Seeking New Members
Every day volunteers are making a big difference in the lives of patients and employees at Brazosport Regional Health System. The volunteers provide a helping hand in various areas of the hospital as well as assist in numerous community outreach programs.
Whether meeting and greeting people at the Main Information Desk, helping transport patients from their rooms to imaging, serving coffee and juices to visitors and patients, or just lending an ear, our volunteers reach out to all parts of hospital life.
Each volunteer can pick the area that best suits their interest. Other areas include working in the emergency room, women’s diagnostics, or in the recovery room to assist the nurses and run errands. In addition to working in various areas of the hospital, the volunteers assist in numerous community outreach programs including free flu shot clinics, career fairs, blood drives, book drives, and jewelry shows. Volunteers also help to raise money for scholarships for local high school students and employees at Brazosport Regional.
“We are always looking for volunteers who could spare a couple hours a week and join our team,” said Diane Poston, Volunteer Liaison for Brazosport Regional. “We are dedicated to providing a friendly and supportive environment and providing appropriate training to our volunteers.”
The volunteers at Brazosport Regional Health System are seeking new members to join their organization. If you are recently retired, suffering from empty nest syndrome or just looking for something rewarding to occupy your time as well as give you great satisfaction, Brazosport Regional is the place to be!
