Brazosport Regional Volunteers Exceed the
Million Dollar Mark in Donated Funds

At the annual volunteer luncheon held earlier this month, the volunteers presented Brazosport Regional Health System with a check for $30,000. Since 1961, the group of 130 men and women has donated over $1 million to the Health System.
“This is an incredible milestone for our Volunteers and the Health System,” remarked Daniel Buche, CEO/President of Brazosport Regional. “The Health System provides high-quality care to our patients and we value and appreciate the positive impact the Gift Shop has made on that quality of care.”
The Brazosport Regional Volunteers have earmarked the $30,000 to go toward an Emergency Room Bariatric Stretcher, a Glidescope Laryngoscope System for Surgical Services and equipment for the post-anesthesia care unit that is currently under construction. All profits from the Gift Shop at Brazosport Regional are annually donated to the Health System for patient care and equipment.
Due to the upcoming Main Lobby Renovations of Brazosport Regional, the Gift Shop will be temporarily relocated to be adjacent to the new Surgery Lobby. As part of the main lobby renovation project, an enlarged Gift Ship will be located to the left of the Health System’s new main lobby that will be completed later this year.
Volunteers staff the Gift Shop seven days a week to continuously help families, employees and patients find just the right gift. The dedicated team of volunteers is made up of community members who share their talents, abilities, and experiences to make a difference in someone’s life!
