Brazosport Regional Volunteers Hold Spring Luncheon
Brazosport Regional Volunteers held their annual Spring Luncheon on May 13, 2009 at the Lake Jackson Civic Center. During the luncheon, the auxiliary installed new officers and awarded service pins to numerous volunteers.
Volunteer Services Coordinator, Diane Poston, reported that the auxiliary collectively volunteered 26,000 hours this past year. In addition, Poston noted that since 1961, the volunteers raised over $950,000 which in turn benefits patient care at Brazosport Regional Health System.
After thoughts of gratitude and appreciation from Daniel Buche, CEO/President of BRHS, and Jim Martin, Chairman of the Board, volunteers were awarded services pins. Recipients included:

Following lunch, officers for 2009-2010 were installed by a former past president, Elaine Whiteside. The new officers include: Beth Wood, President; Barbara Lewis, Past President; Kathy Moore, President-Elect; Dot Libersat, Vice President and Membership Chairwoman; Barbara Maier, Recording Secretary; Leo Novak, Treasurer; and Marilyn Osterholm, Corresponding Secretary.
