Position Description:
The Registered Nurse provides supervision and guidance for nursing staff members, participates in evaluation of clinical competency of nursing staff; assists charge nurse in operation of the unit for his/her shift for personal and professional growth and development. Serves as a member of the daily operation of the assigned unit. In addition, the RN must be able to interpret the appropriate information to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
