Brazosport Regional is dedicated to providing quality healthcare with excellence and compassion for the communities we serve. We are also committed to recognizing and rewarding our team for providing care with excellence and compassion. One way in which team member performance is recognized is through The Right Care Program. This program is designed to recognize individuals who exceed the expectations of our patients and their family members and who make a significant contribution to improving the experience at Brazosport Regional. To receive The Right Care Award, team members must be nominated by their peers or be mentioned by name in a patient satisfaction survey. Awardees have the opportunity to attend The Right Care Breakfast with the CEO, receive a customized lapel pin and a special Brazosport Regional logoed gift item. In addition, one HEART Award winner will be announced at each breakfast ceremony. The HEART Award is reserved for individuals that have earned the highest level of achievement in fulfilling our mission, vision, and values.

HEART Award Recipients

The HEART Award is reserved for individuals that have earned the highest level of achievement in fulfilling our mission, vision, and values. In fact, the HEART Award recipient exemplifies the behaviors that we should each display in our daily interactions with patients, their families and our fellow team members. Our HEART Award recipients match this description perfectly!

Kirsten Parks
Home Health

Our 1st HEART Award Recipient is Kirsten Parks. She consistently goes above and beyond her daily duties and truly cares about each patient. Fairly new in the field, she has proven to be an exceptional employee and an asset to BRHS. Her patients love her and are always sad when she has to discharge them. Kirsten went out of her way to help an elderly gentleman that was involved in a horrible car wreck. She was on her way to see a patient during a really bad rain storm when she came upon the accident. She stopped to assist the elderly man that was trapped in his car bleeding from his head. The rain was pouring on him so she protected him from the rain and applied pressure to his wound to slow the bleeding until EMS could arrive. Kirsten went above and beyond the call of duty to help the elderly gentlemen in the time of need.

Lova Monahgan, Enrica Smalley, Brenda Williams
Home Health

Our next HEART Award Recipients truly illustrated care and compassion toward their patient. Lova, Enrica and Brenda went out of their way to help a cancer patient that was homeless. She unfortunately didn’t have any family or friends that were willing to help her out. So Brenda thoughtfully found her a woman’s shelter in Houston and Enrica and Lova helped her pack what little belongings she had left. Enrica gave her a little money and Lova drove her to the Houston Astrodome shelter pick-up station. Their care and compassion shinned as they worked together to make sure their patient was well-taken care of. Their thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated by the patient. All of these ladies are a great asset to our patients and to BRHS.
